PLEASE NOTE:  You must contact the Rio Grande Leather (at Riograndeleather@aol.com) before you pay for your registration package to receive this benefit. Once your application is approved, you will be directed to fill out a regular RGL registration form.

Please fill out this form to apply for a volunteer position. Just fill out the form and click on the 'Submit Application' button. This is NOT the way you will pay for your registration. This page is for informational purposes only. Once we receive your information, we will let you know that you are approved and you can then register with the Individual Registration Form on this website.

This year the event will be chock full of volunteer opportunities, and we will be needing, and want to encourage, more volunteers to participate.

As a result, the RGL organizers have decided to provide discounts to volunteers who work six hours or more during RGL. In order to receive the volunteer discount registration rate, you must sign up as a volunteer and be registered no later that Monday, October 3rd.

VOLUNTEER DISCOUNTS

A Discount in the price of the full RGL registration package ($40) is available to any volunteer who commits to working 6 hours or more at the event.  You must contact Rio Grande Leaather before you pay for your registration package to receive this benefit. Once your application is approved, you will be directed to fill out a regular RGL registration form.

Volunteers are requested to work for 6 hours. You may volunteer for more than 6 hours, but you will still pay the same 6-hour discount registration. Discounts are based on the purchase of a full registration package, which includes the $20 membership in the 2011 RGL event. (Memberships must be purchased in advance if you wish to attend one or both of the members-only parties on Friday and Saturday nights, which are free to members).

Note! Volunteers who commit to working 6 hours or more who do not show up to work their assigned shifts will be immediately excluded from the event.

Volunteer Responsibilities
As a volunteer for the Rio Grande Leather weekend, you are considered a representative of the Rio Grande Leather team and the Albuquerque alternative lifestyle community at large. It is understood that your actions will reflect on the the Rio Grande Leather event. It is expected that you will fulfill your agreed-upon volunteer duties to the best of your ability, and that you will request assistance when necessary. Volunteers are not to speak to the press about the Rio Grande Leather event. Any requests for statements to the press should be referred to the Producers of the weekend. Volunteers must sign all releases and rules required under general membership rules.

1. Please indicate your preference of committee above and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
2. Please indicate if you have previous RGL experience and if you want to do the same job or try something different.
3. Preference will be given to local people, with out-of-town people used to fill in last minute spots if needed.
