Volunteer positions and descriptions

Event Set-Up Helping with set-up in areas such as registration, stage, etc. This may require some physical labor such as lifting and moving furniture. Thursday evening and Friday from noon onward.
Event Tear-Down Reverse of above on Sunday as areas become available for tear-down, probably from noon to 4:00pm.
Stage Set-Up and Tear-Down Set-Up on Friday, Tear-Down on Sunday. May involve physical labor.
Friday night festivities Help with whatever happens in this time slot. Run errands, help with costumes, etc. Friday night only. (To Be Announced)
Shines Help with the talent show. Run errands, help with costumes, etc. Saturday night only.
Dungeon Set-Up and Tear-Down Setting up Dungeon equipment Friday night and tearing down Sunday morning before 10:00am.
Equipment Transport Picking up Dungeon equipment Friday and returning it Sunday. Requires truck of some sort.
Photographer Taking still shots and/or video of the weekend. Friday to Sunday. Requires digital camera and/or video camera. Equipement may be supplied but you need to know how to use it.
Dungeon Monitor Patrolling Dungeon for safety purposes. Requires attendance at orientation Thurs. evening, especially if you've never been a DM before. Need 2 people for each shift (1-hour shifts) of Friday and Saturday nights..
Door Monitor Check IDs for entrance to parties. Friday and Saturday nights. Two-hour shifts.
Hospitality Suite Monitor Sit in hospitality room and answer any questions guests might have. Sat. only.
Workshop/Keynote Monitor Help presenters or keynote, run errands, keep time in classes. Sat. and/or Sun.
Silent Auction Monitor Set-up silent auction, fill out forms. Help patrol the area. Friday, through Sunday.
Vendor Area Monitor Patrol the Vendors' Hallway and answer any questions vendors might have. Fri. through Sun.
Office Monitor Sit in the RGL office and help with supplies, etc. Answer questions from guests, hang out, sleep, watch TV. This is an easy but important assignment. Fri. night through Sun. morning.
Floater Thurs. through Sunday. Whatever needs to be done, whenever it needs doing. There is always something we haven't thought of!
